How many Vowels in Tamil script?

The Tamil script has 12 vowels. சினிமா கேள்விக்கு பதில் தெரிந்த தமிழ் நாட்டுத் தமிழனுக்கு தமிழ் மொழியில் உயிர் எழுத்துக்கள் எத்தனை என்ற கேள்விக்கு பதில் தெரியாமல் போனது ஏன்? இப்போதே இந்த நிலை என்றால் , இந்தி மட்டுமே இரண்டாம் பாடமாக கற்கும் புதிய தலைமுறை தமிழர்களின் நிலை எவ்வாறு இருக்கும் என சற்றே சிந்திக்க வேண்டும். இன்னும் பத்து ஆண்டுகளில் இப்படிப் பட்ட தமிழர்கள் தான் அதிகம் தமிழ் நாட்டில் இருப்பார்கள். இந்த நிலை நீடித்தால் தமிழும் இருக்காது தமிழனும் இருக்க மாட்டன் நம் தமிழகத்தில்.

வெட்கக்கேடு மட்டும்ல்ல. வேதனையும்தான். எந்த அளவுக்கு அடிப்படைத் தமிழ்க்கல்வியும் இன்றி இத்தனை இழிநிலை என்று எண்ணும் பொழுது மிக வேதனையாக இருக்கின்றது! மிகவும் வெட்கப்பட வேண்டிய நிலை!!

Bogar Siddhar

Bogar or Bhogar or Boganathar was a legendary Tamil siddhar (herbal healer) or alchemist. He was said to have been born into a goldsmithing family, and to have had miraculous powers. He is also associated with Mahavatar Babaji in some New Age circles. He was considered to be the foremost disciple of Kalanginathar, a siddha who was a disciple to Tirumular.

It is believed that Kalanginathar was the backbone to Bogar’s success in his spiritual journey. They both were considered as an epitome for a master disciple relationship. On his master’s order he traveled extensively in China to spread his philosophy. He is said to have traveled widely and to have lived for centuries. Bhogar is said to have made the statue of Lord Murugan at Palani by himself using Navabhasanam, made of a combination of rare & extensively medicinal herbs. His jeeva samadhi is also found in the South West corridor at the Palani Murugan temple.
